Olive Read is a 17-year-old filmmaker from the Bay Area, currently based in Washington DC studying film and television production at Howard University
Her colorful and eclectic lens of the world allows her to create fun and humorous films that dive into the complex imaginations and relationships that surround us.
As a filmmaker belonging to many marginalized communities, she aims to uplift underrepresented voices through her diverse cast and crews and the many media activities she pursues in school.
Today her films have been screened at festivals like the Mill Valley Film Festival and awarded by the program, YoungArts, and the Student World Impact Film Festival.
